Exemplary scenario variations

Energy Brainpool is a market leader in the field of revenue scenarios – thanks to its own developed fundamental model Power2Sim. We model power price scenarios for Europe based on recognised market scenarios and our own expertise. In addition to power prices, the software Power2Sim also calculates capture prices for wind and PV systems without subsidies on the power markets. On request, the revenues of other technologies (e.g. Combined Cycle Power Plants) can be included in the Energy BrainReports.

You receive our power price scenarios out of the box in four different variants. The focus is on the "Central" scenario. In addition, the sensitivity variants "Tensions" and "Relief" are available: These differ fundamentally in the following assumptions: How will commodity prices develop? And, what is the rate of expansion of renewable energies?

From now on, you can order the newly developed "GoHydrogen" scenario. It depicts the achievement of the European goal of climate neutrality by 2050 with the help of the spread of hydrogen technologies. For this scenario, the consumption in the three main energy sectors of industry, transport and buildings was analysed. The aim is to identify potential of hydrogen applications and to estimate the hydrogen consumption for decarbonisation. This hydrogen demand is met by electrolysers powered by zero-emission electricity.

We continuously adapt each of the abovementioned four consistent scenarios to current geopolitical and market developments.
